LibreNMS
LibreNMS is a fully featured network monitoring system that discovers and monitors network devices, interfaces, and services.
Platform availability
Available on 3 of 9 platforms
Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Check SSO login settings If you set up single sign-on (SAML/OAuth), run `lnms config:get auth.socialite` to see the saved login settings. This helps you catch a wrong provider or token before users cannot log in. source
- Start Varnish if you added caching If you added the Varnish page-cache option, use the service tool (systemctl) to start it: `systemctl start varnish`. If it is not running, the cache settings will not work and LibreNMS pages may load slower. source
- Unraid first-use settings Create the database with CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci, and follow the Unraid forum thread in the app links for Poller setup. source

Common questions
What database settings does the Unraid first-use thread recommend for LibreNMS?
Create the database with CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci. Then follow the thread's instructions for Poller setup.
How can I verify SAML or OAuth settings after configuring single sign-on?
Run lnms config:get auth.socialite to inspect the saved login settings. This helps catch a wrong provider or token before users cannot log in.
Does LibreNMS have native mobile apps?
Yes, native iPhone and Android apps are available and provide core functionality.
Where can I find Docker installation details for LibreNMS?
Docker image documentation is located in the LibreNMS/Docker GitHub repository. Images are available on Docker Hub and Quay.
How can I identify devices causing LibreNMS pollers to run longer than 300 seconds?
Open /poll-log/ in the web interface and find the devices with the longest run. Then check Graphs -> Poller -> Poller Modules Performance to find the slow modules.
