DeckCraft is an open-source presentation app built in Rust as a clean-room reimplementation of PowerPoint, letting you create slide decks with themes, shapes, tables, charts, transitions, and animations, open and save PowerPoint files, and present them full screen with CLI and AI-agent control.

  • Serve the web build with the nginx block If you are hosting the web version under /deckcraft/, use the nginx block from this page because it tells browsers how to handle .wasm and .js files and sets caching. Without it, the app may not load or may keep showing an outdated version. source
  • Keep iframe permissions for embedded use If you embed DeckCraft in another page, keep the iframe attributes allow=fullscreen; clipboard-read; clipboard-write and allowfullscreen. Without those browser permissions, fullscreen presentation and copy/paste features may not work. source
  • Use control port 7990 for command-line control If you want to control the running app from the command line, start it with --control 7990 so it listens on that control port, then connect with deckcraft-cli mcp --connect 7990. Without that control port, the separate command tool has no way to send slide commands to the open app. source
