Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

How do I run EasyMonitor probes on servers other than the main install?

Probes are separate lightweight Go binaries that can be deployed on other machines. They can connect to the main EasyMonitor instance through Tailscale, Cloudflare Tunnel, or your own VPN.

How does EasyMonitor reduce false positives from flaky network checks?

It uses multi-region probe quorum so probes vote on outages. Each monitor can also set a consecutive-failure threshold before an alert is sent.

Which alert channels can be used for monitor alerts?

Alerts can be sent to email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, ntfy, Pushover, and generic webhooks. Users choose their channels, and monitors can use a subset of them.

How are custom status page domains handled with HTTPS?

Custom domains are supported with automatic HTTPS via Caddy on-demand TLS.

Where are check results and monitoring data stored?

Check results are stored in PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB. Redis Streams is used as the job bus between the scheduler, probes, and result consumer.

Are there monitor limits or per-seat charges?

There is no per-monitor pricing, no 50-monitor cap, and no per-seat add-on.
