KeibiDrop turns your Unraid box into the always-on peer of an encrypted peer-to-peer folder mount. Your computer mounts that shared folder and opens files on demand, so only the bytes you touch move, end-to-end encrypted with hybrid post-quantum key exchange. Built for homelab users who want remote file access with no account, no cloud, and no FUSE required on the serving side.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

How do I pair two computers for the first time?

Install KeibiDrop on both computers, enter the other peer's XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX code to establish the connection, then open or share files. The app also displays your own code to send to the other person.

Can I run KeibiDrop on a NAS as the always-on side?

Yes, the docs describe a NAS or home server as the always-on end, including running KeibiDrop on a NAS, sharing read-only folders, and editing from it in DaVinci Resolve.

If I edit a file in the mounted remote folder, does the change return to the other computer?

Yes, files stream when read and edits sync back. The docs also include a guide for handling conflict files.

Can two devices connect through NAT, firewalls, or guest WiFi?

The documentation includes a guide for working through firewalls and guest WiFi, so use that setup path when the devices are behind restrictive networks.

What does the free tier provide, and what do paid plans add?

The free community tier includes secure direct transfers with a shared public relay on a best-effort basis. Paid plans add dedicated relay bandwidth, regional relay options, commercial desktop app licensing, and priority support.
