Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install Grimoire globally Run npm install -g grimoire-wizard in a terminal so the grimoire command works in any folder. Without this, your system will not know what grimoire is and the wizard cannot start. source
  • Check your wizard file first Run grimoire validate wizard.yaml before starting to catch missing settings or YAML mistakes. Skipping this can make a tiny typo stop the whole setup. source
  • Preview commands with dry run Use grimoire run wizard.yaml --dry-run to see the commands it would run before anything changes. This helps prevent a bad setting from creating or changing files you do not want. source
  • Unraid Pocketbase setup For Unraid, install Pocketbase first, then clone the Grimoire repository and move pb_migrations to /mnt/user/appdata/pocketbase/pb_migrations. Restart Pocketbase and use your Pocketbase credentials for the /admin panel. source
  • Migration from v0.5.x Current Grimoire is a rewrite; legacy v0.5.x remains on the legacy/v0.x branch. source
