First-install notes

  • Start Psono with Docker on port 10200 Run the Docker command from the docs, docker run -d -p 10200:10200 psono/psono-combo:latest, to start Psono in an isolated container, and make sure port 10200 is open in your firewall. Docker is a tool that runs apps in isolated boxes, and port 10200 is like the door number for the password manager's web page, so if it is blocked or already used, you won't be able to reach Psono. source
  • Confirm the server is answering Open http://your-ip:10200/server/info/ in your browser after starting Psono to confirm the web server is answering. If this page does not load, the service is not running or the port/firewall is blocking you, so you would not be able to use the password manager. source
  • Check /healthcheck/ for hidden problems Open the /healthcheck/ endpoint on your Psono address, such as http://your-ip:10200/healthcheck/, to see whether the database and other parts are healthy. If it reports a problem, passwords may not save, restore, or sync correctly even if the main page opens. source

Common questions

How do I start and check a basic Psono CE Docker installation?

Run the psono-combo CE image with the host and container port set to 10200, and make sure that port is open in the firewall. After startup, check the server/info endpoint to confirm the web server is answering.

How can I detect hidden problems in a running Psono server?

Check the healthcheck endpoint on your Psono address. If it reports a problem, passwords may fail to save, restore, or sync even though the main page opens.

What determines the client version shown in the Psono admin portal?

The portal asks the server for the WEBCLIENT_URL parameter and uses that value to fetch VERSION.txt from the webclient.

Where can I get help with a self-hosted Psono issue?

You can create an issue in the GitLab repository, email [email protected], or join the Discord Community.
