First-install notes

  • Use Helm values file and its own namespace If you are using Helm (the Kubernetes package installer), create my_values.yaml, a plain-text settings file, and install the chart into a dedicated namespace such as collabora. Without that file and namespace, the install may fail or you may mix Collabora with other apps on your cluster and make issues harder to trace. source
  • Make port 9980 reachable from other devices The examples connect to `ws://localhost:9980/cool/ws`, where `ws` is a WebSocket (real-time messaging) connection, so allow port 9980 if you will use Collabora from another computer. Without that access, your browser may not be able to talk to the editor from another machine. source
