Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Set PUID, PGID, TZ, and folders Set PUID/PGID (the user and group IDs the container runs as) to your home Linux user, often 1000, and set TZ to your time zone. Replace /config and media paths with real folders, or you may get permission errors and an empty library. source
- Plex web port is 32400 Plex uses port 32400 for its web interface, so if you are not using --net=host, open or forward that port to the container. Without it, your browser can't reach the Plex setup page. source
- First run creates the config When Plex starts for the first time, it creates the main preferences file and initial database. Keep the /config folder backed up, because deleting it can wipe your first-run setup. source

Common questions
Which Docker image tag is safest for a normal setup?
Use the latest tag for the most recent stable release, or pin to a specific A.B.C.D version tag if you need exact consistency. The main tag tracks the latest commit and may include breaking changes, so it is better for testing.
Which folders should I mount so I do not lose settings?
Mount a host directory to /config and another to /logs in the Docker setup. These persistent folders hold the application configuration and log files.
Does it affect other Plex users' language preferences?
No, it tracks settings per show and does not interfere with global settings or other users' preferences. Each user gets the appropriate audio and subtitle tracks selected automatically and independently.
