First-install notes

  • Set up the OneDrive helper (taskqueue) If you're connecting OneDrive, download and extract the current 64-bit Linux taskqueue helper, then run chmod +x ./taskqueue, a command that makes the file runnable. Without this separate helper, OneDrive file transfers won't run because Cloudreve needs it to process those jobs. source
  • Start taskqueue and check the log Run ./taskqueue and look for lines saying Config information and Thread start. Those lines mean the helper is working; if you see errors, your OneDrive settings or connection are wrong and OneDrive uploads/downloads won't process. source
  • Keep taskqueue running If you close the terminal, taskqueue stops, so OneDrive transfers pause until you start it again. To keep it running, start a screen session (a way to leave a command running behind the scenes), run ./taskqueue, then hold Ctrl, press A, release Ctrl, and press D to detach. source

Common questions

Does Cloudreve provide WebDAV access for files on cloud storage?

Yes, the README states WebDAV support covers all storage providers.

Can Cloudreve be used as a manager for multiple existing consumer cloud drives?

No, the docs say Cloudreve is a cloud drive rather than a manager for other cloud drives. Most supported providers are storage-specific public cloud products, and managing files across multiple cloud drives is listed as not suitable.

Can Cloudreve use external download clients for background downloads?

Yes, it integrates with Aria2 and qBittorrent to download files in the background. It can use multiple download nodes to share the load.
