First-install notes
- Install Docker and protect the settings volume Install Docker first because it runs all the containers. When starting the Nextcloud All-in-One (AIO) master container, keep the Docker storage area named `nextcloud_aio_mastercontainer` mounted at `/mnt/docker-aio-config`; it stores your settings, so losing it resets the setup. source
- Choose free web and Talk ports first In the master-container command, use free values for `APACHE_PORT` (Nextcloud web access) and `TALK_PORT` (Nextcloud Talk calls), and keep port 8080 free for the AIO manager if you need it. If any of these ports are busy or blocked, the site, calls, or admin interface may not work. source
- Start compose from the manual-install folder After cloning the repository, run `docker compose up` from inside `all-in-one/manual-install`. Docker Compose only uses files in the current folder, so running it elsewhere can make it look for files in the wrong place and fail. source
- Archived This repository is archived and no longer maintained; no new features, bug fixes, or security updates will be provided. source

Common questions
How does Nextcloud-cronjob run Nextcloud's cron job?
It executes php -f /var/www/html/cron.php inside the Nextcloud container using docker exec. The default interval in the provided example is every 15 minutes.
How do you tell the cron container which Nextcloud container to use?
Set NEXTCLOUD_CONTAINER_NAME to the Nextcloud service name and NEXTCLOUD_PROJECT_NAME to the Docker Compose project prefix. If you are not using Docker Compose, leave NEXTCLOUD_PROJECT_NAME blank or omit it.
Does the cron container need its own network, database, or ports?
No. The example runs with network_mode: none and relies on the mounted Docker socket to execute commands in the Nextcloud container.
Why might the official Nextcloud container cron approach fail?
The README says the official method does not work when the Nextcloud container is run using a non-root user.
